Boys just want to have fun. Scouting is a “game with a purpose”, namely character development and developing a value system that will enable them to make ethical decisions for the rest of their life. Scouting, arguably the finest youth program in the world, teaches boys ages 6-10.5 (Cub Scouts) and 10.5-18 (Boy Scouts) life skills, citizenship, leadership skills, and moral values, all in the arena of the outdoors. Scouts are involved in community service, Parish volunteerism, and many outdoor adventures. Scouts are often tomorrow’s leaders!
Holy Family hosts a Cub Scout Pack (P114) and a Boy Scout Troop (T114). The Scouting programs always needs the dedication of adults willing to volunteer their time and talents to mentor and support these young Scouts. Appropriate diocesan training is required* and on-the-job (leadership) training is offered. If you have fond memories of your own youthful days, and would like to make a difference in the life of a boy, volunteer today and help these young men of our parish build character and memories that will last a lifetime.
