MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Mission statement: “Holy Family MOPS is a community where moms are welcomed and nourished thru Christ-centered friendships. Known as a place of encounter, virtue, and service, we are sent to renew our families, parish and the world.”
The MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is designed to support and affirm women in their many roles; mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, and friends. It is a ministry about women bonded by their vocation who come together to share the joys and struggles of motherhood while growing in faith and service to one another and the community. MOPS is open to expectant mothers through mothers of children in kindergarten. We also welcome the participation and wisdom of mothers who have older children to serve as mentor moms.
MOPS meets September through May on Friday mornings (2x/month) from 9:30 am – 11:30 am and Monday evenings (1x/month) at 7:00 pm in Upper Room A. Members of MOPS do not need any special training. However, volunteers are needed to help with childcare during the two monthly Friday morning meetings. If you love being around children and have Friday mornings free, please contact us!
What to expect
MOPS meetings are made for YOU, mama! We have time to socialize and eat, participate in fun activities, hear from speakers on topics specific to our stage of life, and have opportunities for small group discussion. Limited childcare is available for our morning group – please contact us for availability.
We also schedule monthly Playdates and Moms Nights Out and family picnics in the fall and spring.
