First Eucharist
In the Diocese of Orlando, First Communion (Eucharist) preparation is a two-year process for children and consists of two parts: faith formation classes and First Communion workshops:
-
If the child is enrolled in Holy Family Catholic School (HFCS), they will attend faith formation classes through the school.
-
If the child is not enrolled in HFCS, they will attend Faith Formation classes through the Parish.
-
ALL HFCS and Faith Formation students will be required to attend workshops and other meetings to complete preparation to receive the sacrament.
The process typically starts in First Grade, with the student receiving First Reconciliation and First Communion in Second Grade.
