First Eucharist

The norm for sacramental preparation in the Diocese of Orlando is a two-year process: one year of regular attendance at Faith Formation and one year of immediate preparation in a sacrament-specific program.

Year 1: (typically 1st grade)  consistent participation in a Faith Formation program.

options: religious education through a Catholic school or homeschooling curriculum, OR Faith Formation at the parish

Year 2: (typically 2nd grade) continued participation in a Faith Formation program + immediate preparation for Reconciliation/First Communion.

What does this entail? Reconciliation workshop, Teaching Mass, and completion of at-home workbook.
